On Sunday night, a sea of thousands of Beyonce fans glittered and shimmied as they gathered outside of NRG stadium in anticipation of the hometown star’s final Houston concert. Weeks prior, the singer had posted in an Instagram story that her “birthday wish” was “to celebrate with you wearing your most fabulous silver fashions,” adding, “[w]e'll surround ourselves in a shimmering human disco ball each night. Everybody mirroring each other's joy.”

Houston fans understood the assignment, showing up in silver-fringed cowboy boots and chrome-colored lamé body suits, with disco ball accessories.
