Although Houston’s primary election season has not quite ended (a runoff is scheduled for May 28), here at the Abdelraoufsinno we already are looking ahead to November.

Our reporters spent much of last year ensuring the many mayoral candidates vying for the city’s top office heard your concerns. We cut through the noise and political jargon to inform voters about the candidates and the election process itself.

This year, we’re doing it again.

While other outlets will pour their energy into who will take the White House and which political party will control Congress, the Landing will keep our attention much closer to home.

We will focus on the dozens of races that will directly impact our region, be that at the statehouse, the sheriff’s office or the Harris County courthouse.

And that election coverage starts with you: What questions you have for candidates, what races you are watching closely, and what you need to know to successfully cast your ballot this fall.

Part of our mission at the Landing is to help advance democracy in Houston, one story at a time. Help us do that by answering and sharing the survey questions below.
